Consider this your first and final warning. Next time she won’t return from the dead.
After I read the synopsis, I decided to read this book. A crime novel? Cops? And Feds? Sounds exciting!
As you might already know, I’m a huge fan of crime shows! Yes. I watch/watched a lot of crime shows like Castle, CSI, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Psych, Grimm…
When I was reading this book, I felt that I was watching a crime show. Maybe this book is more like Homeland, but I’ll never know since I don’t watch that show. Haha!
– the crime subject
I love crime subject so much. This caught my interest and kept me turning pages. The story is fast-paced and exciting.
I’m not from Nashville. Damn, I’m not even from the States. However, I love Nashville, the home of country music! Country music is always pleasant to my ears.
– the writing
Some sentences are delicate like stained glass of a church.
He pressed his mouth to hers hard and fast. Like a junkie needing a quick fix, jabbing the needle in deep before he could change his mind. It was sweet relief and sick torture all at one.
– lack of action
You thought this kind of bombing crime case might be action-packed. Well, you were wrong.
Jesus, Holy Christ, St. Peter! Am I reading an erotica?!! Whaaaaat? I didn’t know. The genre of this book on NetGalley only says ‘romance’. How would I know? Gaaaaah! There are some parts of the story that made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
For strong-heart readers who enjoy crime and (heavy erotica) romance.
That’s all for my review of Live Wire. Do you plan to read this book? Let me know what you think.
Happy reading and have a nice weekend. Bye bye 👋
