⭐ disappointed star.

“Tell me something, Zoe,” he said quietly.  “If you could have anything you wanted in the world, have any wish granted, what would you wish for?”

I’d say money.

But clearly she is more stupid than I thought.

I really don’t like this book.  I don’t like this kind of romance story.  I thought I would.  But I don’t.

I got WTF when I read till chapter 3.  (I had no idea that it’s a book series.) The author threw 23 names at me all at one.  I had no fucking idea who was who.  It was a bloody mess inside my head.

What I Don’t Like About This Book

– KGI

Yeah, yeah, yeah, take out criminal empires, eliminate terrorists, drug dealers, arms dealers, kidnappers, mobsters, human and child trafficking… But killing is wrong!  You can’t just kill people.   Don’t think yourselves are so noble.  Superheroes don’t kill, not even bad guys.

– what is going on

We’re not in Supernatural.  I thought this was supposed to be a contemporary novel.  Why can someone do telepathy?  Family killing business?

– Joe

He is definitely a very creepy dude.  I think he’s a sexual-minded sicko.

– the instalove between Zoe and Joe

I don’t get the instalove.  Joe obviously just wants Zoe’s body.  There’s no romance.  I don’t see LOVE here.

Recommendation

As you all know, I don’t recommend this book.  If you’re a KGI fan, you’ll probably love it.  But I’m not and I don’t.

That’s all for my review of Brighter Than The Sun by Maya Banks.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading.  I’ll see you next time.  Adios 👋
